"initialization error 1" need help with windows version vmprotect protecting linux program

Post by leonaiverson »

I have encountered some issues and need help

vmprotect registered V3.9.1

Issue 1:
I used the Windows version of VMProtect to protect a Linux program (as mentioned in the product documentation that this is possible). When the "Pack the Output File" option is enabled, the protected program does not work properly. However, when this option is disabled, the program runs normally. Although I can continue using the software in this way, I would like to know if this is expected behavior.

Issue 2:
Similarly, when using the Windows version of VMProtect to protect a Linux program, the protected program runs normally on some computers but fails on others. The error message displayed is "initialization error 1." The program runs fine without protection, and I have no clue how to resolve this issue.

I would like someone to helo me on this matter. thanks in advance

Could you provide us an example (original binary + VMP file) that shows your problem?
