VMP3 hardware ID problem

Post by drlai »

On the same machine, I 've got 3 different kind of Hardware ID,

1. TA6oiM0SPGSXAFadCluQwgpbkMLG3Xo+avgW4gpbkMI=
2. TA6oiM0SPGQKW5DCCluQwsbdej4KW5DClwBWnQ==
3. 2D3kAM0SPGTvlO2rCluQwgpbkMLG3Xo+CluQwg==

are they all the same?

I got 2 = 3 but not the first one is different.

I think 2 and 3 are the same.

1 has an extra Ethernet field and I don't know why. I tried GetHardwareID on several machines and here is what I found:

a. ID format is different than VMP2.x but using the same algorithm we know they are same machine or not.
b. few machines have longer ID which normally means there is an extra Ethernet field, If Based-64 hardward ID string is different, the Hardware ID is different.
